I just want to tell you how much I appreciate what you do. I was just locked up for a year and your channel was the ONLY creator channel available on the tablets they gave us. I watched almost every video posted since 2015. You helped me get through some of the toughest times I've experienced. I was at first facing 32 years and the only escape I had was your channel. Thank you for everything. You and your channel is helping thousands of people on the inside. Your a legend. Much love

I love these quizzes because they help me actually remember the content better. (P.S. Thanks for making this. I used this knowledge for a Physics test)

Hey dude. Longtime watcher. I was wondering if you would consider doing a video on something similar? Baseball pitches. There is a pitch called a "rising fastball". It doesn't actually rise, but it gives the appearance of "rising" because the backspin keeps it from dropping at a normal rate. Lots of cool numbers to play with I bet. Fastball energy vs a bullet, theorheticlly fastest fast ball, how much movement possible from mound to plate, tendon and ligament theoretical maximums, the limbs involved, similar mechanical mechanisms (I had always heard that a pitch and a trebuchet are mechanically similar) etc.

89%, I was half right, the immediate effect is the 90° adjustment which LEADS to alignment of the ball with its direction of motion.

100%, but I think the quiz kind of relied on knowing a bunch of terminology that the video didn't need you to know in order to understand it. If I wasn't already good at physics, I don't think I would have understood the quiz options well enough to identify which ones matched what the video demonstrated in a more visual way.

78%, which isn't too bad for not remembering if I even watched the video or not lol

Obligatory unrelated to the question; I'm really interested in physics and having trouble deciding what field I'd like to focus on. I like conducting experiments on a lot of fields of physics, but I find quantum physics exciting and love theorizing about phenomena and possible applications of the aforementioned phenomena. I'm also worried about how or where to go for real world experience in the field or resources that may help with that. I'm sorry for the long message and also apologize for placing it in the comments of something unrelated instead of a personal email or letter, I'm more than happy to reach out personally to anyone who may be able to help. You're all wonderful and breathtaking, have an excellent day ❤

100% but I think it has a lot to do with knowing common physics misconceptions, which allows me tospot the wrong answers easily

100%! Definitely wasn’t expecting to, but it seems like I retained much more than I thought I had.

Quiz time!
How much did you understand about the physics of football? - beta.retainit.app/game/perfect-spiral?r=veritasium
For those of you who watched our recent video 'The Biggest Misconception in Football (ft. Tom Brady)' here is a quiz designed to test your knowledge (and if you need a quick refresh, here is a link to the video: https://youtu.be/J3i3F2e4IYs)
