Hey mate. Just want to say that your music has such a positive impact at my dnd table. I’ve used your music for curse of strahd, tomb of annihilation and rime of the frostmaiden. Your music is thematic, epic and makes our games way more immersive :) Congrats on turning 30! :) Hoping there’s many more years of music to come.

Hi Travis, I usually barely comment on the internet. But I just wanted to let you know that I listen to your music all the time as inspiration to paint. It helped me finalise a concept for my current DnD character and I also maybe spiked my DMs' playlist with Winter's Wrath. So do not hold back, you deserve all the new opportunities! I am eager to hear more :)

Good for you! Your music is consistently amazing, and I never DM a session without it! Do you think you would ever be interested in taking song commissions? If so, I know I’d love to get some work from you!

How’s it going, I was wondering if we’re allowed to use any of the purchased tracks on our games? Or do we have to pay you a certain amount? Thanks!

RPG Music Maker - Travis Savoie
A new professional picture just dropped!
As some of you may know, I turned 30 last week. I took some time to reflect on both what I love and what I struggle with in content creation—while also sinking a hundred hours into "Age of Mythology Retold".
What I struggle with:
-The constant pressure to feed the algorithm.
- Self-promotion.
- Using keywords just to drive views.
- Video Editing.
I understand that these things are necessary to thrive in this space and come easily to others, but they've never felt natural to me. I’ve always disliked the idea of constantly reminding people to 'like and subscribe.'
What I love :
-The challenge of composing for a variety of situations.
-Seeing all the progress I've made compared to where I was five years ago.
-Engaging with my community, even though I’m an introvert.
-The friendships and collaborations I’ve built along the way.
-Knowing that my music impacted situations in your games.
And most importantly—all of you. This community is a melting pot of incredible people. It’s a real pleasure to step away from the real world with you and hear your stories and adventures.
In retrospect, I've held myself back quite a lot in these past five years. I've turned down podcasts, interviews, conventions, newspapers, partnerships, and a myriad of other opportunities to get more "out there". In truth, I didn't feel like I was good enough/ready.
But now I see there will never be a 'perfect moment'—I have to create it. From here on, I’m committed to doing whatever it takes to chase my dreams.
Thank you for being with me through every step and misstep. It means the world.
Travis
