I am so very grateful for women like you that my daughter and granddaughter look up to because you have integrity. Integrity isn’t something you just do when it’s easy integrity is most important when it’s hard and you made hard with easy! Just went to Locals and viewed your statement. You are right. This directly affects my ability to trust The Hill. As a conservative I appreciated the frank fact based approach that you brought. (I didn’t always agree with you but I appreciated it). My trust in the media is tenuous at best and allowing Fauci to dodge hard questions is a violation of that trust.

Because of you being excluded in the Fauci interview, I will no longer watch any of The Hill Rising news programs. I have just unsubscribed myself from The Hills Rising. Hi Kim, I unsubscribed from Hill too. Not only you were not there during that podcast but your former colleagues at the Hill were actually much worse than CNN. CNN at least does what it does. I actually uncovered the Hill thanks to you and left them because of that interview. I respect your integrity and listen to you always even though I disagree with you on many points.

Kim, I have been a huge fan of yours since I happened on to your work about a year and a half ago. I started watching rising because of your journalism, I think because of you the others there have become better at their jobs and have have more confidence to ask hard questions. I watched that interview with fauci and was flabbergasted that you were not in on it, now I know why. I say good for you for holding to your ideals and values. You are correct that people will lose trust in that show because of what happened. I know I did. You have such an amazing career ahead of you this will be but a speed bump and become a feather in your cap as you navigate the crazy world if journalism. I consider you one of the few real journalists out there these days. You will need no luck moving forward because through your work you are already blazing a path to the top. I will follow you wherever you are sharing your work, thank you for having the spine and balls to do your job like its supposed to be done!

I certainly respect Kim's decision, but I think it shows how pervasive the corporate media is, and how hard it is to evade it. The fact is Kim joined a corporate media entity because she could reach a wider audience than she ever could as an independent. I am also guessing that it gave her a better income than she got as an independent, but she has now reached the point where corporate ideology clashes with her own. I hope she will bring a large audience to her own channel from Rising, but I think her particular situation is part of a more general problem with corporate media and intellectual freedom.
