explaining more about the cam not getting into the tap dancing newsboy musical incident
there were these classes that my theatre had (one was where newsies would be performed and the other one was where the other musical would be performed) and whatever location you chose showed your preference on which show you wanted to be in
sadly i live too far from the class where newsies was performed so i registered for the closer class and because of that i was put in the other musical even if i made it clear that my preference was newsies in the audition form AND if my audition qualified for the show
there were many other kids with the same skill level or a similar level as me who got casted in newsies so i know very well i could’ve been casted as well if we had just known to pick the farther away class 🥀
of course i’m very blessed and happy to have been in a show at all but i would have gotten a LOT more out of being in newsies and not getting in was sincereley the biggest disappointment of my life 💔 así es la vida i guess 🥹
