Why does Apple spend millions on an in-person event just to launch a phone?
Apple events arent just product launches. They’re grand occasions where the entire tech industry comes together to witness in awe.
Apart from building hype, apples gets to build the story around their mission. Its a masterclass in branding and storytelling.
The little hints from the invitations keep people talking and guessing what might be the final features of the latest iPhone, its colors and its name.
The attention to detail in these well produced events put Apple in a league of its own and helps differentiate from competitors who do their best to immitate, be it the features of the event structure
The event also helps integrate the iPhone effectively with the rest of the Apple ecosystem with the simultaneous launch of a new apple watch or airpods.
Its my second time attending the Apple event and Im super excited to enter the steve jobs theatre, and then run outside to see the latest iPhones IRL.
