These three radios are part of the UV-5R series type of radios, and all of them do the exact same things and all function the same way. However the RD-5R is a very special hard to find radio, its a Tier 2 DMR HT and does a lot more than the other two radios. Though the 5RX has more bands to receive than the UV-5R and RD-5R. Lastly the UV-5R a very basic but very nice and easy way that a LOT of ham operators started for their first HTs and they do their job exactly as you'd intend despite the terrible harmonics
