Equinox update: Fans of Cal Falcons know that one of this year's chicks, Equinox (Nox for short), was rescued from the water at Berkeley Marina with a fractured metacarpus. The fracture was in the middle of the bone, which is good news. Breaks near the joints are vastly harder to heal!
His most recent x-rays show good healing, but he's not quite ready to begin the process of conditioning to regain flight.
Many thanks to the California Raptor Center at UC Davis for caring for him!
