Acceptance is the first step in the ladder of grace. It is not the end but a means to the end.

God's decision to send his son to die for your salvation was and is not conditioned upon your conduct but his love for you.

Romans 5:8
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."

However, him revealing the deeper things in his heart to you is conditioned. It is based upon your response to his love, which is demonstrated by your keeping his commandment to demonstrating his love to others.

Paul the Apostle did teach this, and we find this consistent throughout scriptures. God remains the same yesterday, today, and forever.

Paul said in 1 Cor 2:9

1 Corinthians 2:9
"But as it is written, Eye hath not seen, nor ear heard, neither have entered into the heart of man, the things which God hath prepared for them that love him."

Here, it says to them that love him.

Jesus said the same thing in John 14

John 14:21
"He that hath my commandments, and keepeth them, he it is that loveth me: and he that loveth me shall be loved of my Father, and I will love him, and will manifest myself to him"

God demonstrated this with Moses.

Exodus 33:11
"And the Lord spake unto Moses face to face, as a man speaketh unto his friend. And he turned again into the camp: but his servant Joshua, the son of Nun, a young man, departed not out of the tabernacle"

Numbers 12:8
"With him will I speak mouth to mouth, even apparently, and not in dark speeches; and the similitude of the Lord shall he behold: wherefore then were ye not afraid to speak against my servant Moses"

There is a place where God considers you a friend, one he can trust.

You have submitted to his chastisement, and Christ is formed within you.

Remember the words of Jesus, God causes rain to fall upon the unthankful and evil, but the same Jesus said do not cast your pearls unto swines nor give holy things to dogs.

Let us press deeper into the things of the Spirit. Christ died that we may be accepted, but acceptance is only the first step in the ladder of grace. It is not the end but the means to the end.
