hi! content manager here. i think maybe what you're seeing is the face of your audience changing as your content changes. i started watching your channel and subscribed because of the creative builds you are doing -- that's the kind of content I typically gravitate toward. i saw in a reply comment you left to someone that you're not making challenge videos anymore because of how damaging they can be to your health (a pivot I totally agree with). if the majority of your subscribers were gained because of that type of content, it makes sense they're not engaging with your new stuff -- it's not what they came to you for. it is natural to see a shift in engagement as the content you're making changes, as the cadence of your posting changes, etc. for example, one of the clients I work with, an edtech company, started promo'ing summer offerings in March and we saw a big uptick in unsubscribes from our email list. why? those people came to us for our school year offerings. they don't want to be annoyed with summer stuff! i added a little note at the bottom of each email "if you'd like to opt out of summer emails, let us know" and the unsubscribes stopped. consumer behavior can be tricky, but you just have to think like your audience. over time your channel will lose the people who aren't interested in what you're making, and will gain the people who are interested in what you're making. that's normal. as long as you are still posting quality content (which I agree you are) and you're posting regularly (which I think you have been), you're all good. one thing you can do to temporarily boost numbers is a collab post with another channel similar to yours. that's how people who want the type of content you're making can find you. another thing you can do to increase revenue is offer supplementary goods and services that go along with your videos. so for example, you could create blueprints and parts lists for a build you're making, and have that as a downloadable digital good that people can buy on your website or on an online marketplace like Etsy, that way people can try to build it themselves. hope this helps!

I love your content and the main difference I’ve noticed recently in your channel is majority of the videos are on building something new or extreme and they are great videos but I also like some of the older ones where you like went to McDonald’s after hours or got buried alive those challenges are great as well so maybe just change that up a little! Hope this helps but love all the content you put out :))

I was one of your first 1000 subscribers. Loved every one of your videos! Keep up the good work

I think your channel is great! I subscribed because of the building videos. Specifically the bike trailer videos. I think that’s a fantastic idea that not too many people do. And I think you did it extremely well! I think you just need to keep up the good work at a steady pace. You’re doing just fine bro!

As someone who hast watched the majority of your build videos in the past few months, i've noticed a repetitive pattern between the videos. Most of the builds are painted in the same colour and are assembled with very similar methods. That may cause some people to not watch a upload because they've already "seen everything". Also on some projects i kinda get the feeling that it's build very fast for a video and not been used for something else afterwards. For example the bike camper video and i believe two mirco camper videos were all released in a relativly short time window. All these videos are very similar in regard of content, pacing or used materials and techniques. With that said your last Upload was one of my favorites in recent time. Don't worry about the views, a million clicks or more in many of the recent videos is pretty impressive for me. Of course views are not everything and watchtime, cpm, etc. are impotant too, but i'm no expert on that. Maybe some restauration projects could be a nice change of pace. Keep up the good work, i really enjoy your videos:)

I personally love simply "cool builds." Cool things that I would personally want and are new that I haven't seen before. Things like the extra-fast scooter or similar. Keep up the great work!

Hey! I’ve been a follower for a long time, I really enjoy your vids even tho I don’t really watch any type of building content. I would say I think you should try to be more authentic…less “Mr beast” like. I would love to see tips and tricks for like new homeowners since you guys (probably?) partake in home building or just explaining how you get your ideas or what you do with your builds when they’re done. Maybe like part 2s where you actually use your things to test (I know you’ve done this before but like dedicate a whole video to living in the new cabin!) maybe also reintroduce yourself? You haven’t made a “who is Chay” video since your early days, people can’t really connect with you without knowing who they’re listening to. I really want you to be successful because you’re doing some great stuff!! Good luck!!

Don’t stop what you’re doing. In the best way possible I think you’re just overthinking things. A lot of your most viewed videos ever have been in the last year and the channel is always growing. Don’t overthink anything and don’t give up🙌🏽

Man, YouTube likes to screw their creators. My analytics showed that on my last three videos YouTube only notified 243 of my subscribers. That’s BS.

I was a subscriber before 100k. The amount of attention you’re getting now feels much better than before when you’d only be getting a couple thousand views a video. The overall style of content has changed, I like it but it is just something I don’t click on as often. You’ve made great progress, keep at it and you will go even further!

I love all your content but the one that stood out to me and was the funniest was your walking a marathon in Walmart. I laughed so hard at that and watched it multiple times and showed it to my brother. Would love a mixture of funny and constructive videos. Thank you for sharing and creating content for us all!

You make it, i'll watch it. Your skill level for construction has really improved lately, but you do have quite a bit of competition in this genre, probably more so that your adventure videos. So, mix it up. Maybe take that awesome bike camper and go live in it for a week, which is probably harder than you think. You are very passionate, which definitely comes thru no matter which kind of video you are making, so find a balance between what your passion is and what your subscribers are looking for. I look forward to your next video:)

I liked that homeless video you made a while back. It’d be cool to see you take your campers you built out in solo/stealth camping adventures. You could probably connect it to homelessness/homeless awareness somehow. For some reason I really like watching stealth camping/van life/outdoor camping type videos. Maybe cook something tasty while you’re out camping. I like your channel, brother. Keep doing what you’re doing and the subs/views will come. Also, go camping.

Quality and editing is top notch. Be careful not to get repetitive. How many times have you built some recreation domicile or toy lately? Mix it up with other videos like a follow up to something you built, lessons learned, or another challenge video that doesn’t permanently affect your health.

Take a look at your last four videos. You had a camper video do well (1mill+), did another camper video (>500k). You did a tiny house build do well (1mill+), you did another tiny house build (>500k) I think as a viewer, sometimes it feels like the channel doing well and being popular matters more than the content - and like the quality of the content is excellent, like super high quality. What do YOU want to make videos about, keep putting high quality work, and subs and views will come from YOUR passion and obvious care. Like someone else said, I think your content has switched some, so your subscribers are filtering through also. Be yourself, and the views and the subs and the people you want to watch will come.

I also think that you build stuff, which is very interesting and fun to watch, but also kinda need to make content about living in it and such. After the tour, maybe do more things in it. Kinda like in the recent house video where it was all about building then a tour. Maybe also more “personal” with the audience, in that instead of long Timelapses and music add in o guys great personality

Your videos are usually 500,000 to 1 million views each. Most channels would kill for those type of views with each video. Keep doing what you're doing. You have a great personality and just need to continue doing your thing. First video I watched was you living homeless for a few videos. Loved it and stuck around even with the current content.

President Chay
we are doing something wrong.
this year has been hard for us, we think that we are making good videos, but each one is not getting close to what it could be in terms of views, plus only like 50,000 of our subscribers are watching our current vids.
this channel is my life, and I will do whatever it takes to make it successful, please share any constructive feedback in the comments of this post, or email me at chaydenne2@gmail.com ❤️
