UnHerd

'After the 2008 crisis instigated the unravelling of neoliberalism, the consensus across global and political divides today seems to be that only a more state-driven economy — with greater barriers to the movement of goods and people — can keep the capitalist show on the road. In retrospect, it is clear that Corbynism was rubbing with the grain rather than against it.'

He’ll gain mostly from the new 16 and 17 year old voters whom Starmer had thought he could capitalise on. He’ll essentially split the left wing vote.

With Reform splitting the vote on the right, Corbyn could actually become PM. Just like Reform voters gave Labour a landslide in 2024 😅

@BB-yf6tm

neoliberalism hasn't unravelled. if that's what you think then you clearly don't understand what neoliberalism is.

I thought Unherd was a conservative space. The authors evoke the 'friend-enemy' distinction and like typical conservatives Unherd fails to draw this distinction itself in its editorial policy. This article from academic left- liberals with their delusions of a "rules based order' ( rules for thee, but not me) is a case in point. Don't interrupt your enemies as they destroy themselves, I say.
