For most of my life, my mom has told me that I should be a lawyer since I like to “argue” so much. When I first started at university, I wanted to be an English teacher and years later, a social worker who specialized in Domestic Violence and Addiction. Never got those degrees but here I am, 35 years after graduating from high school, about to graduate with my degree…in PR & Event Planning. Maybe me changing my degree pursuits so often proves my Mom’s point and maybe it doesn’t. 🤷🏼♀️ I just know that I’ll FINALLY be happy getting out of retail management and into a career that I’m passionate abou

it's always possible to do what you set your mind to, that's what this is about. Not HAVING to get 4 uni degrees, but him showing us that HE wanted to do this and he got that bag. Good for him and thank you for reminding me that even though I may want different things, I will achieve them.

I was told by my dad, that there are some people that enjoy studying something, studying anything more than actual going to work and start working. It doesn't mean that it's true but there are some people at his workplace that don't understand real life situations and how to solve them but when it comes to academic solving they do really well. Well idk keep studying and use that knowledge :))

How did you get 4 degrees? Did you do a dual degree program? It would be suuuper helpful if you could elaborate! If you have please do share where I don't often use YouTube

I think studying law is super interesting. Thought about it myself but then the money to pay for a course is a lot sometimes.

Congrats on all those amazing achievements! I’m graduating from law school in 39 days and can say it’s definitely the best option, opens up a lot of doors and opportunities! Although I think business is a great compliment to the law degree.

And which degree are you actually using the most in your present career. Also let us know your age when you finished all of the four degrees were there gaps in between the degrees? Like did you work on every field or kept studying..

I have 4 university degrees 🎓
But which one was ACTUALLY helpful in my career?
I’ve tried ranking my degrees based on how useful they’ve been in MY LIFE.
Here’s what I got.
4. Economics 📈
I loved the uni but I did distance learning so didn’t really get the most of it. Lots of Maths that I never use and rules about the ways markets and businesses work that are not true, having worked in corporate and run my own. It kept me close to Ukraine but didn’t give me much more. Sorry.
3. Business 💰
CEO of Aston Martin, Jaguar Land Rover, Heinz went to Warwick Business School. At the time, it was ranked as the best business school in Europe and has super cool modern facilities but actually - this is the least useful degree when it comes to knowledge / skills to run a business. One good thing is that I actually went back there to teach communications as an industry insider, that was cool.
2. Sociology 🌍
John Kennedy, Sir David Attenbrouguh and Mick jagger. LSE alumni have been awarded 18 Nobel Prizes in economics, peace and literature. I studied in Inequalities department (exploring health, gender and passport inequalities) and I found it super stimulating. I was working in corporate consultancy already so I had more real world experience. It was probably the degree where I actually learnt the most, knowledge that I use to this day. Also network is very useful.
1. Law ⚖️
I just moved to the UK, could barely speak English, when I started law school here. Most presidents in the world did law and it’s no wonder. It taught me how to read a lot and synthesise information, have logical reasoning, how to write effectively, speak persuasively. I use the skills acquired in law in almost all areas of my life. I still think it’s the best option of what to study if you have no idea what to do with your life.
What do you think? 🤔
