A wonderful creative being, who gave life to that wonderful formation of Tangerine Dream, together with his great fellow musicians, all pioneers in that exciting electronic adventure! Rest in peace Edgard and may your infinite inspiration reach those who continue to make this story of amazing sounds from wherever you are! 💓

I feel so lucky to be old enough to be around since the beginning. Tangerine Dream is not only my favorite band and musicians, but they are a part of my life. I simply can't imagine a world without them. Their music has been comforting, inspirational, beautiful and has even helped me get through many difficult times. I not only can't, but I don't want to imagine a world without them. R.I.P., God bless and thank you so very very much, Edgar. 🕊️❤

Sadly missed. Lucky enough to see them in 1982 at the Glasgow Apollo.

Very sadly missed, I saw them twice, in the 80s. The New Tangerine Dream are carrying on his legacy in a superb way, they almost sound like Edgar, Pete and Chris, yeh we miss you boys too.

RIP. Saw them in a 10,000 seat hockey arena in 1977 when I was just turning 15...5 bucks a ticket, 6 at the door. Maybe 2,000 people, if that. Good show, cool stage... Around this time, there were lots of problems at concerts...Terrible fights, too much drinking, throwing bottles, people getting sick, etc. During the half-hour before show start, as the sparse crowd scattered themselves thinly across the arena, we began to see a smattering of paper airplanes gently wafting down from the nosebleed sections. They were pure aerofoil -- just a folded paper ring 3-4" wide with a tiny forked tail for some balance, made out of leaflets handed out at the door. Within minutes, most of the audience was engaged in making their own gliders and impromptu contests for longest hang-time, furthest flight, best aerobatic trick, etc. Hundreds of these little paper hoops tunneling through the air. I don't think there was a lot of pot or booze in the stands -- the audience was mostly a bunch of teenage male synthesizer nerds, kinda like me 🙂

I happened to listen to Chandra Part II today, some of the last works of master Edgar Froese. It is shocking to think that out of the 12 years I have been a TD fan, 8 has been after he changes his cosmic address.
