Ab-so-lutely. I even owned a Walkman and listened to mixtapes. That was the best thing about audio cassettes

On a camping holiday I listened Busted’s debut self titled album ‘Busted’ on a disc man and it’s a really fond memory I have

Sure did. And a Walkman. Those were the days. My dad driving and me in the back seat listening to my CD’s just being a kid. 😌

@6Goat6Demon6

Sure did, used to listen to Eminem albums with my friend at lunch time back in primary school, simple times.

I had the discman, and i went on a weekend holiday one time and burned my own mix CD to take with me. Problem was there ended up not being much to do because it was raining, so that discman became my only entertainment for 4 days. Worse still, for whatever reason i only burned 2 songs onto that CD: Hotel California by The Eagles, and Sweet Home Alabama by Lynyrd Skynyrd. So for 4 days, i listened to those two songs on repeat, back to back. Lying as still as possible on my bed because moving obviously caused the skipping. I still like those songs, but i havent voluntarily listened to either of them in at least 16 years. Dont need to - they're physically etched into my brain tissue after having been played about 750 times each in under a week.

I sure did; played the hell out of my NIN CDs on it. Good times.

My Sony discman with 10 second ESP was actually pretty good about not skipping. Couldn't jog with it but you could walk normally

Nothing like rolling around town bumping "No Diggity" hoping for no skips while trying to impress the ladies

Yes move was a Sony and I loved it.

@joannas44

Absolutely. Rotating 5ive, Green Day and the Cats musical soundtrack - I'd describe my taste as "eclectic"... nothing has changed.

Let's just say, I related all too well to James' struggles.

I never owned a disc man,I did however use my sisters my girlfriends and anyone who would lend... I stayed very retro with my Walkman, interestingly...auto correct recognises Walkman but not discman... auto correct is on my level of retroREspect...

Absotively! Even refer to my current technology, Sony MP3 player, as "my Walkman". 😎
