We moved into a 2 bed apartment a couple years ago, and my wife is awesome, so she let me set up shop in the other room. I have a very strange setup, but I kind of love it. Low Roman bench, Chinese hand planes, Japanese saws, brace and bit, and other odds n' ends. Even a small drill press for when stuff HAS to be square. Going from a two car garage to a tiny bedroom was frustrating at first, but now I don't know if I'd want to go back to my old setup. Always liked a minimalistic approach anyhow and this forces me into that.

I'm in the 'yes but no choice' camp right now, but also kind of exciting!

Only if I absolutely had to. Depending on where I move in the future, I might have to 😞

I was lucky enough to move into a place with an extended double bay garage. But I ended up building a wall between to separate shop and family. I love that I did it. It helped focus the shop and it's not spread all over.

Mine only has 2-3m² to begin with. So... Downsizing would mean there would only be space for either my small bench OR me. Though decision 😄
