The story of Libya is a story that reminds me of one painful fact. Africans are the worst enemies of Africans (say what you want, but if the African rulers had an iota of respect for Gaddafi, they wouldn't have stood for the NATO invasion). Barely any African leader stood their ground for Gaddafi and they all moved aside as if he were a leper (at the time he needed them most).

I'd be hesitant to call it a "NATO failure" when the Civil War was in full swing before their involvement and post involvement was minimal
