I love how framewhisperer was the only YouTuber who understood how fucked T8 was

The fact that this was made years ago but still relevant is very telling on the state of things. It's sad man...

Just watched that video frame and wow, at that I did not know you and was to even yet into T7 ( still isolated on tag PS3 lol), but damn your analysis is on point. I'm currently writing a big article that will speak about this and gamedesign with in depth analysis of Tekken thought the years. And how T8 was carefully designed to be a party game disguised as a competitive game.

Hey Frame, I watched a video of you talking about T8 S2 on the Tekken Talk podcast and you mentioned a story/rumour about how Rip got called by Bandai Namco to take down a video he made about Fahkumram in T7. It reminded me of a similar story Aris told about Rip. They were at an offline event together and Aris asked Rip (off camera/mic) if he liked T8 and Rip replied saying "I don't think anyone likes T8". If you search on Reddit "Aris asks Rickstah, MYK and Rip how they like Tekken 8" you should find a clip on it (can't seem to link on comments). I'm not trying to fuel a flame war against Rip or anything like that, but I do think it's interesting that there are at least two different accounts from separate people both talking about how 'community leaders' in T8 are putting up appearances of supporting T8 even though they hate it personally. It's especially interesting how Rip could talk smack about T8 in private but then go off and host an offline event for it, presumably with Bandai Namco's blessing. I think at this point it's clear that these content creators and 'community leaders' have put themselves in a relationship with Bandai Namco where talking about their honest thoughts and feelings about the game are creating a conflict of interest, and therefore they should no longer be qualified to be seen as trustworthy voices in the community when it comes to talking about the game.

Frame, the realist one out there. Not only you spoke the truth, but you were honest with yourself. I think if there is anything I learned from watching your content since T7, it is to actually stand for what you believe in and be truthful to yourself. I think Aris and yourself share this trait, and It's something the community has slowly been losing since the growth of T7/introduction of Esports/bamco collaborating with content creators. Ultimately, it wasn't just an issue of the developers, as a community we lacked the integrity and spine to uphold what we believed in and gaslighted ourselves into believing what was objectively a dog-shit abomination of a game as a beautiful masterpiece from the devs.

I've had many requests for a video addressing the armageddon happening in the fgc right now. I am working on something, but in the meantime I'd like to "circle back" to a little video I uploaded many years ago:
