Dan, You ask what we can do now to reduce accidents in the pattern due to loss of airspeed awareness and DMMS. It is my option the solution is continuous review of aerodynamics and wing loading. Turns in the pattern requires either (a) maintain a constant angle of attack with power to compensate the loss of airspeed or (b) unload the wing (pitch) which reduces the AOA and maintains a constant airspeed. All aircraft have a built-in AOA installed; it's called the yoke and it's extension. Note how far the yoke is extended when you hear the stall warning horn during landing flare; that's your AOA indicator. Like my friend Juan Brown always reminds us; "You can stall an airplane at any airspeed but only one angle of attack". Which means you can still stall an airplane even at DMMS. Recommend you add wing loading awareness in your discussions. Thanks Dan keep up the good fight.

Kudos to you Dan, I was introduced to your channel from. Blancolirio's channel. I watched your YouTube presentation about DB Cooper and was really blown away I thought this makes more sense than anything else I've ever heard. I remember driving down the canyon from Park City into Provo in the early '70s and seeing a sign that said we love you McCoy. I Richard McCoy just might be DB Cooper He was busted for bailing out over Utah lake I thought. Dan, took some of Richard McCoy family to the DB Cooper fest up in the Pacific Northwest how cool is that? I've told many many people about that particular video I don't think any of them have ever looked at it cuz if they did they go yeah this is it, case solved. Dan I want to hear a banjo song about this You're awesome!

@BBDoorChina

The reason for the Indian plane crash was probably that the EEC chip was damaged after 11,000 cycles!!

Dan, how's the D.C. Mid Air Collision Investigation coming along. I remember you saying it was 100% the controllers fault. Did the controller go to prison for causing the lives of so many people? Or did you find out it was the nitwitt woman who cost all those people their lives? MANY ARE PILOTS, FEW ARE PILOTS IN COMMAND.
