Art By Xiaowen

It's almost the weekend!
I just wanted to pop in here and say a big thank you to everyone who tuned into my latest What I Wish I Knew video. Oh, and of course, to those who’ve been subscribing and following my journey for a while.

As I continue to know you, my audience better, I have a few topics in mind that I'm planning on making:
🎨 more beginner art advice, tips & tricks
🧠 how I learn and practice head drawing
📚 art books I’m studying from
📷 my drawing & filming setup
✏️ and of course, my ongoing drawing progress
(Oh man, that’s A LOT 😅)
Would these be topics y'all are interested in? Or am I making things up lols? Let me know in the comments below!

But(there's always a but!) I have a full time job, and I'm trying to maximize the time I spend on improving my art, so I will be SLOW in putting out these videos : ( please be patient with me! I'm really excited to share with y'all what I've learnt so far, and so grateful that you've chosen to join me as I work towards building my life and career around art.

I'll also be posting more of my day-to-day drawing practice over on Instagram. If you'd like to follow alone, I'll see you there too: www.instagram.com/artbyxiaowen/

I hope everyone have a great rest of the week, and an even better weekend! ❤️

@DarkCityArt

All of the above topics! I’d definitely would enjoy more study videos from the books you have or ones that aren’t mentioned as much if you have them! Looking forward to more on the Insta feed as well! 💯

I don’t think you can go wrong with any of those. I always find it helpful to see how someone learns and practices something. Even if it’s something you know, you can still pick up something that might be new that you might incorporate. And for those starting out, who may have been struggling finding methods that work for them, may discover your methods are right up their alley.

Id like to see all of those ideas! Good stuff, and I know it’s hard balancing the art and having a full time job, so def take your time

I agree with the others, I think all these video topics are interesting! I also have a full-time job so I know what it's like to try to squeeze the rest of "life" into the remaining time surrounding work. I look forward to your videos, but don't feel any pressure on my account! Take the time you need. All the best!
