Imo matchmaking and button mapping are only requirements for me to be fixed in the next two months. Gameplay was peak.

I'm in the "It's too expensive in my region so I'm gonna wait for sale" crowd

i’m getting the game no matter what because i believe that, from an ideological perspective, the world needs it to succeed. it’s a beacon of light in the shroud of darkness that is modern fighting games.

I already bought it and I don't regret it. The game plays AMAZING, and SNK has shown in the past that they are able to implement good matchmaking and rollback (even if it takes some time). The fact that they acknowleged the problem and are considering a second beta gives me hope that when the game launches we will get an incredible game with good online.

I’m getting the game when it’s 15$ on sale with all the dlc. It’s fun to play but im in no rush to buy it

This is the 'Fighting Game' a lot of players have been waiting for, but as a video game it's hard to be confident that it will hold out when it lacks so many quality of life things.

Buying regardless. There were clear issues but the gameplay was fun and it gives me something other than SF6 to play

Fun game and I just like fighting games so I was always going to get it. I do hope the product is improved so more people will enjoy it.

I can deal with some jank, but I'm going to wait to purchase it a bit because I don't want to have to deal with another kof experience.

Already bought it. I really enjoyed the beta and was lucky in that I didn’t experience any matchmaking issues.

im getting the game no matter what bc Mark of the wolves was one of the main games that made me fall in love with SNK games and it getting a sequel after like almost as long as I've been alive is crazy cool. Rock is my husband and Hotaru is wife

I'll put up with any bullshit to be free of the endless waking nightmare that is playing SF6.

Not buying unless the price gets readjusted (currently costs 2.5 times more than Baldurs Gate 3 in my country)

The core gameplay seems like the best 2d fighter on the market right now so I'll buy it and hope they fix matchmaking. Everything else about the game was great. Easier to navigate menus than in sf6 that's for sure

Already got the game. I have seen enough, game was incredibly fun and stylish. Just enough hint of higher level tactics for me to work towards understanding and implementing.

I don’t have a particular problem. But it hasn’t sparked my interest enough. Might get it later on

If a video game of any other genre lacked in the bare essentials like a lot of fighting games do, we just simply wouldn't hear about them as they don't warrant the attention. Fighting game players insist on latching on to any scraps of development they can get their hands on, and the quality of the product hardly ever increases. Sf6 is close to a complete game, and nearly every other fighting game has fallen flat. This is why I think Smash Brothers has such a big scene. The new player experience is just great and smooth sailing.

The beta left a bad first impression because there was no combo trials (if there's no practice mode have some kind of in game guide to mitigate that) and in the 10/37 minutes I played it for I found NO MATCHES bare in mind in VF5Revo the wait time was 30 seconds yet with COTW the shit timed out 4 times. It's not that the game is bad per se but it was a terrible first impression that only says to me "pirate first , buy later". As much shit as people want to give Tekken 8 one of the things it did well was made sure people could at least try to enjoy the game wholesale.COTW doesn't even let you see the movelist for characters since the placement matches don't let you pause and the tutorial doesn't even fully explain how brakes and feints work ( you get ONE POORLY EXPLAINED EXAMPLE WITH ROCK ), the AI in the second placement match and onwards will do insane 50% combos using the mechanics and your just left there thinking well this is unfair since I don't even have a chance to learn or better understand how that's possible before I hop online or try to put myself out there. As much as people want to bitch about cracks once the game is out NOONE gives a shit so having no training mode or combo trials or accessible move list just leads to a bad first impression and it doesn't make me wanna buy the game despite having looked forward to a new Garou for decades.

I'll play in training mode if I have to. Plus I've already convinced my fighting game friends to grab it, so all the other pain points aren't applicable to me fr. Not to say the concerns people have can't be valid, but they feel very forced on an influencer level and a lot are just following the narrative imo. The gameplay is too good to miss out, because I love fighting games.
