Honestly, all of them are viable with the right teamcomps, at the highest level, yes even light, they can provide a lot of team utility in terms of fast and many deposits which really puts you at a significant advantage, the rest depends on their ability to kill.

Might be bias, but I don’t think Medium will ever not be a significant part of the meta, simply because of the sheer paucity of limitations the class has in terms of tools. Mobility? Got pad and zips. Damage? Got the standard suite of ‘nades and a couple good mines, in addition to some of the most consistently good weapons in the game with the AKM and Model. Utility? There’s too much to cover but along with the best static-defense-clearing tool in the game in scrambler, they have one of the smoothest destruction abilities in the game with demat, and of course the sheer area control possible with bug traps and APS turrets. And… I don’t need to mention how necessary the utility of defib has been for the past four seasons. Heavy might have the best objective control, and light certainly has the best individual mobility and burst, but… I dunno that we’ll ever see a meta without medium in it.

(From a S4 Diamond player) Im a heavy main but i play medium about equally as much this season, unless i have a team that can support me as a heavy, I feel i win more games playing medium as I solo q a lot.

Yes every comp has a heavy but if you really look. It is borderline autism to suggest that you don’t need a medium in your team. None of them can do good without each other though and I like that it’s getting towards HML meta.

Medium is the only class that is compatible with most if not any comp, i main heavy and if i see two lights on my team I immediately know i have to switch to medium ( mostly because lights in my rank are either great or garbage ) but medium is always the safe pick no matter the situation

We're getting to a spot in the game's timeline where every class can be equally as viable as the others with the right playstyle and team coordination. Personally I like to play Medium, but it's been hard to notice that one class is better than the others in any particular way. Sure, they each have their roles, and one class might be better at fulfilling a role better than another class, but if played right, you can shred with any class this season

Light is great at cash out game modes if used correctly. I can solo queue and carry my team much easier with light. I can entry fragg at least if I have good positioning with invs, and delay any point with stun, gravity vortex, throwing nades and glitches through gateway. I mean I can kinda be everywhere at once without having to communicate much so I’m pretty happy with the state of light. Ofc there’s some things that can improve but overall It’s a blast and effective.

Heavy has so many tools that come in clutch when it comes to securing the objective, which is the #1 most important thing. #2 is teamfight power, which all classes have. #3 is mobility, which Medium has. Medium is arguably the most versatile class in the game, that's a given, but I'd rather have HMM or HML, than MMM or MML.

Light is currently pretty weak, but I also can't think of any good way to balance it out without making it almost (if not completely) unfair. Making it die harder is absolutely not the way to go, that's what I'm certain about, because it being easy to kill is one of the main factors when it comes to balancing it.
