I'm honestly bored with all the focus on Athena and the Grant kids, missing interactions between the main firehouse team ,wishing the show would stop ping-ponging between stupid outrageous space stories and boring unconnected individual stories. Honestly I miss the early seasons where they fought fires and worked together personally and professionally. Hen and Chimney's friendship, Buck and Eddie's, Ravi carving is place as the probie, Bobbie and Athena scrambling to balance their responsibilities. The show feels souless since early season 8, when they started revisiting Bobby's addiction trauma in the run up to killing him, and now it feels like AI is churning out bizarre scripts with no theme or character.

The show feels so boring to me for some reason. I'll keep watching, but something feels off. The storyline feels too repetitive.

I liked the episode. I love the storyline with Buck and Harry and I really hope the show develops their relationship. I like Big Bro Buck. I wish they had continued Eddie's storyline from last week, instead of giving us the Athena+Daughter one. They could have waited with that for after the break. Eddie looked and acted like he didn't loose someone important to him. Don't know what to expect of Hens medical situation. Real happy for Chim. I am curious if there will be a new addition to their team. I would welcome a new team dynamic. The emergencies were lack luster. The finger thingy was just too random. I was surprised by the lady dying, since it had no impact at all. I actually expected the one with the amputated leg to die (few episodes ago). That would have made a reeeeally interesting dynamic between Chim and Eddie and Chim and his Captaincy. The last emergency with an emotional impact I can remember, is the on with Hen and the ambulance crash. But overall, I thought the episode was fine, mostly carried by the Buck and Harry story.

The episode are great but not connected anymore ... Abuela died but no mention of eddie's grief , Buck had someone in his attic but no one talk about it..... And so much more .... Good things is everyone looks so good and happy this episode. Family reunited over chim and this awful twilight blue filter gone

Hen laying on the floor lying to Karen is a no, seeing that med spa doctor after he basically let the patient die while he was making a sales pitch a bigger NO, having Chim being made Captain given so unimportant also no, having 6 episodes for a fall finale NOPE as well, do Hen and Chim talk anymore, we already know Buck and Eddie barely do so I guess all the relationships died with Bobby

I think all the writing budget was redirected to the makeup and wardrobe department. Everyone is looking fire! But the writing isn’t giving enough attention to the characters. Most of Chim´s arc was off screen. Nothing about Eddie recently loosing his abuela. Buck was basically eye candy with a speech (don’t get me wrong, this man looked absolutely stunning in the Harry montage, but still). I hope 9b gives the characters that aren’t Athena (and Hen to a degree) some more time and full storylines.

Watching Episode 6, I’m starting to wonder… did this actually happen before Abuela died? Eddie seems way too normal for someone who just lost his grandma, and I didn’t see Christopher at the captain naming ceremony. Maybe upcoming episodes will show how everything went down afterwards.

It's true I guess, doctors make yhe WORST patients because, Hen should have had doctor called ASAP. Glad Chim will be captain instead of an outsider. 💯❤

I hate how we're basically left on a cliffhanger on what is going on with Hen. The show shouldn't be going on break so soon, they usually wait until December. True i'm glad it's coming back in January, but then we'll only get like maybe 3 or 4 episodes then they'll have to go on a 2 week break due to the Winter Olympics.
