The other day, we took our daughter to a summer festival for the very first time! She kept going “Oooh! Oooh!” at the sight of the mikoshi (portable shrine), and at the stalls we took on the super-fast toy fishing game— somehow managing to catch three rather mysterious festival-style figurines. It was such fun to dive back into a bit of local festival culture after so long.
As adults we haven’t really gone to these kinds of festivals, but it reminded me of my childhood—summer fairs, bon dances, fireworks— all those things I used to enjoy so much.
And speaking of recent days, following last week we’ve got a new video again this week! It’ll go live today, Thursday 28 August at 8pm, but of course, please feel free to watch whenever you’ve got a moment☺️

先日、初めて娘と夏祭りに行ってきました
お神輿を見ては「おー！おー！」と唸り
縁日ではすこぶる流れの早いおもちゃ釣りで
祭りらしい謎なフィギアを三体ゲット
久しぶりにローカルなお祭り文化に触れて、かなり楽しかったです
大人になってからはそういう祭りは特に行ったことがなかったけど
そういえば子どもの頃の納涼祭、盆踊り、花火
楽しんでいたなぁと思い出したり...
そんな最近ですが、先週に引き続き今週も動画を公開します！
