Soundwave and Shockwave used to work together taking care of the modified seekers. Both of them do not approve of the experiments but when shockwave went to talk abt it he was empurata'd. This is enough to scare Sound into complacency.
Thus the impact of that time plus him wanting to protect his cassets lead to his hesitation in the scenes
What did Starscream do? Unsure 100% prob tried u ursurp Megs again (who does abuse him in this AU)
