Consider Cover/Holo went full SIE, now Phase Connect need to play it's card right to became vtuber version of Steam, with Sakana as Vtuber version of Gabe N.

I think this is pointing in a concerning direction but could be as simple as an intern googling “without borders” or something. Its clip art and on theme. Japanese people aren’t as in tune with our social concerns and cover US is a subsidiary that is naturally subservient entirely to Cover itself.

Cover is now publicly traded. They're getting investment from large international firms. Once shareholders get involved, the CEO stops being the King of the company. The biggest shareholders (or those with the most money to throw around) end up owning most of the company and getting their way.

Going public was the biggest mistake they could have made.

RIP Cover It had a good run. Open relationships never last.

@papapesky

It was only a matter of time. When anything becomes popular enough to be considered "mainstream" they have to infiltrate and control. It happened wit movies, it happened with gaming, and now it's happening to V‐Tubers.

I've heard BlackRock bought shares, and if this is true, BlackRock's CEO in 2017 said that they can force behavior by owning shares, including forcing DEI and other failed initiatives.

@Shamesworth1

Welp it was fun while it lasted. Remember to support the talents when their creative freedom gets stomped.
