I’ve taken the past few weeks off of LinkedIn and I’ve focused a lot on my health goals!
Last week I ran my first 5k in about 8 years! (📸: pic from the end of that 5k)
Here’s 5 things I’ve learned about Salesforce (and Salesforce career space) during the past few weeks of training:
1. It’s okay to take a break!
Salesforce is not the be-all-end all of life. Taking a step back can really help you gain a greater perspective on where you want your life and career to go!
2. Goals are so, so important!
Without goals you have no where to go! I’m very aggressive with my goals and really ponder where I want to go and how to get there through my goals! Taking the time to set meaningful targets and their corresponding milestones will really supercharge you!
3. It’s okay to change targets!
Earlier this year my goals were to up the content I released on Udemy, the Salesforce Emily channel, and Salesforce upskill. Then family dynamics with kids changed and I needed to readjust my goals. Running and lifting has really been a lifesaver!
4. Rest is productive!
Constantly running to the next certification, or the newest features can result in burn out! Take some time for your mind to reset and retain what you’ve learned!
5. Slow and Consistent progress is still progress!
I walked a little less than half of the 5k, but I still finished before my target pace! In the past year I haven’t spent as much time on Salesforce and Salesforce content as I’ve wanted to or liked, but I’ve still picked up a certification or two and learned a lot!
I hope you can take something from what I’ve learned and apply it to your life!
I’m also hoping to be a little more active on LinkedIn, YouTube, and course creation in the next few weeks as school ramps up and we get back to normal scheduling!
Thanks for all your patience as I take longer to get back to messages and working on getting you the best Salesforce resources possible!
