This Old Tony

I know this is bad news for all but two of you but, WE HAVE WINNERS!
They passed my humanoid tests, qualified, and accepted. I'll have a follow up video in January.
Thanks everyone! That went a lot better than I was expecting! We should do this more often. ;)
Happy Holidays / New Year.

I was still dithering on getting entered. On the one hand, I've always wanted a machine the would let me jam two pieces of metal together and make them one piece. To be honest, in high school and later when working in a factory I did manage to tack a few things together with a stick welder. But, your description of what is involved in owning and using these machines was an eye opener. And then I wanted to understand the differences between the MIG and TIG and these two machines. I did not want to be the guy who won one of these and then just stuck it in the corner and didn't really use it. And I didn't want to deprive someone for whom this might be a life changer of the opportunity. So, I procrastinated on entering and in the end, that is probably for the best. Tony, thank you for many hours of informative and entertaining videos and for a chance to dream about winning a welder. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family.

I’m happy to hear this news! I am not a welder by any means but I adopted my first Lincoln ac 225 about 10 years ago and fell in love with melting metal together, albeit i was just making repairs on farm equipment. I hope the 2 winners use these tools to their max potential! The thrill of learning was the most exciting part for me. Hope to see a few videos of the winners learning themselves!

I already have a decent tig welder, i was really mostly hoping to just personally recieve a phone call from ToT. Yes the welder would be better than mine, but the story and conversation with him would have been a memory for life. Congrats to the winners

I hope both machines have beautiful, ornate, gilt edged, renaissance picture frames to be displayed in - congratulations (I guess) to the deserving homes.
