I gave up being a home owner a long time ago because it was so far out of reach. Yet now, I can barely afford rent. And I make a good living! I think it’s fair to say that if Marianne can’t even make it on the ballot, like, I don’t even get the OPPORTUNITY to vote for her? Democracy is truly dead. That being the case, I also think it’s time for a “work around “. Such as, we all just write her name on our ballots? Is that a thing?

What is progressive sliding scale based on income? This mostly sounds great but a high income worker should still be able to save up buy renting low rent housing. I hope this doesn't imply just charging them more because they have higher income when the overarching claim is that we can build enough housing for everyone. With no further context or specifics given on the site, this could come across as basically a tax on people who went to college. Why not incentivize skilled workers by allowing them to save more of the money they make which they went to school to for? Marianne would need to free up public college pretty quick to justify former students with skill jobs subsidizing rent. What happened to only increasing taxes the rich? I'm not talking about people making 500k+, im talking about people making like 50k - 100k. Completely unclear where this scale would actually start and how aggressive it would be. Also how do we report it and who can see our income/know our rent? Its a little too idealized to think you're going to just magically blend high and low income communities if you can't even let a basic apartment cost the same as another identical apartment. Would love to see marriane get some votes but provide a more thorough plan please. Was a bit disappointed to look into this and see so few actual details despite all the great speeches.

How do you plan to do all that with all the chaos going on? Our own ppl want wars to stop in other countries and help migrants coming from other countries. That makes all taxes go up. So if minimum wage goes up, the products and supplies have to go up. Everyone gets a raise. How do you plan on making that change? 😐
