Well said. If only people researched the history of the Church they would be able to make right decisions as to who will guide them in the Truth of the Gospel rather than lead them on that broadway to perdition.

I'm sorry for commenting on this post when it doesn't have to do with your post. I chose this because it was the newest and has the least comments so far. I just watched your video "For the ladies who's men won't lead". I just wanted to tell you from the bottom of my heart thank you! I am a 40 yr old woman who loves her husband dearly. I will become the follower I was meant to be for him.

Jesus once said, "Give to Caesar what is Caesar's, and to God what is God's." Throughout history, the Catholic Church has had to navigate the murky waters of politics, especially under totalitarian regimes like a partnership with Fascist Italy and a concordat agreement with Nazi Germany. While this involvement can seem like a betrayal of spiritual integrity, it was often done to protect the rights, lives, and faith of Christians under oppressive governments. That said, this political entanglement hasn't always been clean or morally clear. The Church has at times been rightly criticized for aligning too closely with regimes that violated human dignity. It’s a difficult balance between diplomacy and Christian integrity. But we should remember that preserving a space for faith to survive under tyranny sometimes required difficult, even compromising, choices. This is just my two cents as a Protestant Christian. Thank you for reading and God bless you! 🙏

Amen. I’m trying to overcome my laziness myself to read the scripture and study it prayerfully like you say to do.

The Roman Catholic Church makes no apology for the Inquisition and they still justify it. They aren't done yet

It works both ways. The Catholic Church has also funded more hospitals and universities, has helped more people who are starving, than any other institution in history, religious or secular. Any organization as old and influential as the Catholic Church is going to have some skeletons in its closet, but that doesn't dislodge the good its done.

It does take guts to research anything in America. There's been so much shade thrown on the act of independent thought.

And yet Germans were building Christian churches all over their country during the 1930's, while our "allies" the Soviets were tearing down Churches by the score.

Evil always tries to compromise truth. It infiltrates all churches in an effort to thwart. Christians have to be aware of the dangers. Of course leaders are susceptible. They are human. Individuals have to be aware of manipulations and remain focused on truth, no matter if it is uncomfortable.

Dietrich Bonnhoffer was Lutheran and he did lead a faction that opposed Adolf Hitler and the Nazi regime. He and a handful of others who were true Christian leaders and it cost them their lives. He has a chance to escape Nazi Germany but returned because he was so concerned about the church.

I grew up Catholic, went to Catholic school through high school, and i have a bachelors degree in history. And these are things that i never learned in school. For the record, i have been an aspiring Christian since 3/29/23. There are a lot of good Christians still in the Catholic church too. Men and women that genuinely love and believe in and live according to the Word of God, not the dogma. Just like there are imposters in protestant churches. Don’t pre-judge all Catholics. But I won’t defend the institution. Edit- I am also a lifelong northern Kentuckian. Welcome home Dwayne! Would love to hear more on this topic, if you read this. Theres a lot of German, Irish and Scottish immigrants in Kentucky, especially up around Cincinnati, and consequently a very high Catholic population.

Looking at very difficult and unsavory parts of history has been instrumental in building my relationship with God. It's easy for me because I was a soldier. But seek truth. You will find it. If you feel weak pray for strength. Strength of spirit and mind. Job had to witness livathan.... pretty scary if you ask me. But all in gods will 🎉❤ stay blessed up yal

Tack Room Bible Talk
No head of any Protestant organization on earth was a personal friend of Benito Mussolini. There was no Protestant organization on the planet that sat down and signed a Concorde (agreement) with Adolf Hitler. No Protestant organization on the planet funded Adolf Hitler and the third reich during World War II in return for a signed agreement that if Hitler won in this war, he would make their religion by law the state religion.
If you truly want to know the truth, you’re gonna have to have the guts to look at the hard things. Not many people today have the guts to look at the hard things. The unpopular things. The things that go against the grain.
