The Lord has always warned me of danger, told me to remove myself not knowing there was danger. I've have learned to trust the thoughts and ideas, and then the voice of the Lord. He always has our best interest at heart!!

When you’ve been given the gift of the Holy Ghost, after baptism, your connection to the Lord is magnified in every way. If you need an answer or some comfort, your every prayer is heard and if you wait and truly listen, He will answer you through the gift of the Holy Ghost.

“The way I hear the Lord’s voice is sometimes surprising. I often hear Him when I’m about to fall asleep or when I’m in a quiet place, like in a congregation, where I’m able to listen even amidst noise. At those moments, I feel the Lord guiding me.
“One memorable experience was before a major conflict erupted where I was living. While walking one day, I heard a voice telling me to prepare, even though everything seemed peaceful at the time. I didn’t know what it meant, but soon after, violence and unrest broke out. That voice had warned me to pack my things and prepare to escape. As I was moving my belongings, I didn’t realize I was preparing for the outbreak of war. It was then that I understood the voice of the Lord had been guiding me.
“I had come to this country for school because of difficulties back home. My parents made sacrifices to send me abroad after my sister’s education turned out to be a disappointment. I was just 20 when I left home, so I had to grow up quickly. I split my earnings between paying for school, sending money to my family, and keeping some for myself. It was hard, but I found strength in the Lord.
“During the war, I had to flee. One night, the situation was so dangerous that I had to leave my room and sleep in the bathroom to avoid the risk of windows shattering. While escaping, I came across elderly women and children, and I felt the Lord telling me to help them, even though I was also trying to survive. I left my suitcase, took my passport, and helped them get to safety. I walked for days to reach a border without food, surviving only by eating snow.
“When I arrived at the border, I wasn’t immediately allowed to cross because of the color of my skin. After waiting for hours, I was finally let through. During this time, I had no contact with my family, and they thought I was dead. It wasn’t until a foreign military man helped me that I knew the Lord was still guiding and protecting me. I realized it wasn’t my time to die; the Lord still had work for me to do.” — Wisdom
