A YouTube creator speaks an uncomfortable truth, one that actually supports your original thesis, and instead of standing by them, you distance yourself like they’ve become radioactive. Not because they were wrong—but because defending them would cost you a sliver of social ease.
You applaud honesty until honesty becomes inconvenient. You cheer for truth until truth demands backbone. You love the message, but reject the messenger the second their humanity becomes messy or complicated.
And then you dare call yourselves supporters?
No, you’re spectators. You only clap when the performance flatters you. You only “stand with” someone when the standing requires zero effort, zero risk, zero courage.
