2016 will always feel like the beginning of the "bad timeline" for me.

I’m pretty sure Sausage Party came out that year, there’s no way 2016 was a good year.

I was a 6th/7th grader in my peak "middle school cynic" phase so uhh 2016-2017 was absolutely atrocious from my POV

2016 was a prime year to be a teenager. Definitely a highlight in my lifespan so far

Remember when we all thought 2016 was the worst year ever? Good times.

I'm 18 years old and to me 2017 feels like the year I gained sentience so I can't really tell

2020 2016 2024 All three were crazy but in different ways 2016 was a fun type of crazy like "Hey man this guy is crazy he's a party animal" 2020 was a depressing type of crazy like "I gotta deal with mental health it's not fun" I hope that analogy makes sense lol Had a good 2016 not so much a good 2020 And 2024 was filled with a ton of online drama like a crazy amount (not to me personally but it felt like every month a new crash out or downfall happened)

In 2016 I graduated high school, started college, met many of my lifelong friends, made many stupid mistakes, some of the best memories of my entire life, and would love to experience it again. I miss it so much man. It's insane that so much amazing media came out that year like the classic filthy frank era of YouTube, lots of memorable movies and music also came out that year. Idk if anyone else sees it as a standout year, but to me it was one of the most impactful years of my life.

I think its an easy year to look back on with nostalgia but at the time a lot of people had it rough. There was a lot more social and political turmoil than most people have had experience with before.

2016 is the year I started to lose the 'most people aren't bad, just ignorant' mindset.

Because i was 10, i think being an oblivious child is why i thought 2016 was a good year. I went to cool places and started poking my head around online. There were notable downs in 2016 like losing our first dog, but following that in the summer my sister got married, and then we got our two dogs who were puppies and one of our dogs took them in like they were her babies :)

In my opinion pop culture around that time was getting really cringe. Which is not abnormal for pop culture but it was especially bad that year.
