My new year's resolution for 2025 was to start a series called The Small Questions and see if I could build any kind of audience. I was hopeful that by the end of the year, I might have a few thousand people watching.

To have hit 100,000 subscribers in less than two months is unbelievable.

To be honest, I'm still working out how to do this. Almost every video, I'm trying some new way of telling the story. And I'm still getting used to talking to a camera, which is pretty hard as it turns out!

But I'm loving every second of it and I have a bunch of videos in the pipeline that I can't wait for you to see.

Being able to tell the story in less than four minutes is so rare these days and you do it brilliantly!

You're doing a great job, dude. Topic curation is clearly a strong skill of yours! Everywhere I've gone the past week I've had the benchmark map out - I haven't felt such simple joy since Pokémon GO dropped

Fully deserved!! This short (non-Shorts) format is so unique on YouTube, and every video has been so engaging (even as an American with very little knowledge of most of the topics in the series). You seem like an absolute natural in front of the camera!

Do a vid on why Hull is the only town in the UK that doesn't have BT.

Good content. Not overly "showy", no hidden adverts, no annoying sound effects. This is how YouTube should be

You hit the nail on the head on a format that has become niche after many years of long-form YouTube farming. Good pacing, good writing, a clear interest in the topic, and an impeccable sense of precisely what to leave in the video. Glad to be part of the fun!

Your style of video reminds me of older YouTube in a good way. Thank you for making your videos.

I am really loving your content, it's very fresh and each video is so clear and concise. I think whatever creative direction you want to take the series if you make sure those two points are met then any style will be great!!

I've watched a few of your videos and they were great, but the absolute most memorable bit to me was you fumbling with those crisps when trying to pick them all up at the end of the video 😂

Bravo lad 👏👏 when I saw the Tesco video I thought “that’s a genius idea for a story!” Simple yet affective. All the best to you, keep smashing it

Well deserved blow up. Genuine good UK content is sparse on this website right now.

@charbuka

Good collection of unknown little topics, I'm genuinely learning bits and bobs; crucially the sub-5min duration means it's perfectly digestible

As soon as I watched my first video and then saw your uploads I knew this channel would Blow and Blossom. Its got that something which is undeniable, bon voyage!

I’m really enjoying the series. As an observer, it’s fun to watch it grow so quickly and to have found it so early in the process. It almost makes me nostalgic for the noughties indie rock scene.

@eamoneejit

If I may make a suggestion, don’t over analyse it or you’ll end up waving your hands about, using cliches and generally turn into every other wannabe YT creator. Just carry on doing what you’re doing: you’ve found your niche and it’s working.

The series so far is absolutely amazing and you don't have to worry your delivery is on point. Maybe some big questions would also be nice but I just like long videos in general.
