I've been on YouTube since 2011. That's about 14 years now. But seeing what this platform has become is just sad. As you all know, YouTube had made an announcement recently, stating that starting on August 13, they will be using their AI system to verify if people are 18 or older, based on the video's that they watch, what they search for, and how long their account has been around. Let's say that you watch gameplays of Crash Bandicoot or Mario. If you do that, YouTube would think that you're actually a kid. If YouTube believes that you're under 18, then this means that you have to show them your identification, whether it's a selfie of yourself, your credit card, or your government ID. This is a huge problem, as it's a violation of privacy. The fact that they're using AI to monitor your data is already dangerous as it sounds. No one supports this, and neither do I. It's not just YouTube that's forcing people to verify their age, but it's also platforms like Wikipedia, Spotify, and so forth. Wikipedia, I don't know, but Spotify will now deactivate your account if you don't verify your age. Steam delists games that has adult content in them. Ever since the Online Safter Act in the UK had passed, this act of censorship is only getting worse from here. So, please, people, don't be afraid to speak your voice about this. Spread the word so that everyone else can be aware of what's going on. Thank you.
