So our Zyn episode got demonetized on the day we posted our AI video… which is a bit ironic because it was likely an AI algorithm that deemed it to be ineligible for ads. 😂We’re guessing it’s because it’s about a tobacco product and promoting tobacco is not very ad friendly but surely AI could detect that this video is a critique rather than an ad? This was sent to us after a human reviewed it though so maybe the AI is not that much worse than we are... I DESPISE the term "ad friendly" so much at this point. I'm beyond convinced it's just yet another excuse to deny ad revenue to creators. How is it not? Legit sounds like half the English language isn't "ad friendly" sometimes. For creators at least anyway. I bet CNN and the others never need to say stuff like SA instead of sexual assault. I mean Patreon wouldn't even EXIST if ad revenue worked like it used to. Nope Googles been doing wage theft for quite some time now. Creators Union when?

So they can have ads that entice kids to try vapes, aka Truth commercials, but they can't have a video be monetized when it's educating kids on NOT using them. Like shouldn't companies WANT their products seen in a video like this?? Like it seems like a no brainer to me.

" manually reviewing " .. Note the language. This doesn't inherently mean it was reviewed by a real person, and likely wasn't. It was likely sent manually to an AI review algorithm.

i sent a "feedback" message not that it'll change anything but i found this video very important and informative. too many of my friends and colleagues have nicotine addictions to the point where they start to go through withdrawals without their fix.
