I may not be American, I may not align myself with the Democrats politically, and he may not have been the most successful President, but he was an upstanding man who lived a long, fulfilling life. He outlived two of his successors and not only held the record for longest living US President, but was also the first to live to 100, an honour I think he will hold for many, many years to come. Godspeed, James Carter. 🇺
