I am currently in my setback moment after being okay for few weeks. It is indeed pure hell! Especially when I know this is setback but I wasn't aware of the intensity it will make you feel. I am just continuing doing what I did when I started my recovery journey plus I am learning more about Rumination cause it is what this anxiety is using against me now. May we never lose courage and willpower during these times! Setbacks may take longer than what panic used to make us feel but we have to keep pushing and live our lives. God bless us all 🙏🏼

I've noticed when you hit a new normal your old symptoms feel worse

Just don't let it take you all the way back. Feel it and realize you have done this before and you are still here. Challenge it. It has made symptoms not as in my face and made them dissipate faster.

"I was getting better and then..." (about anxiety setbacks)
Ever had this happen?
You're FINALLY making progress with your anxiety...
Starting to have real moments of relief...
Actually beginning to believe this recovery thing might work...
And then BAM.
All your symptoms come rushing back.
Full force.
Like you're right back at square one.
And your brain starts spinning:
"What did I do wrong?"
"Why is this happening?"
"Maybe I'm just broken..."
Here's what nobody tells you:
Recovery isn't linear.
It's not like healing a broken leg, where each day gets steadily better.
With anxiety recovery, it's more like...
Three steps forward.
Two steps back.
Three steps forward.
Two steps back.
Sometimes it feels like ten steps back.
But here's the thing...
Those setbacks? Those moments where your symptoms come roaring back?
They're actually NORMAL.
(Even though they feel like pure hell.)
In fact, they're part of the recovery roadmap.
The problem is... most people don't know what this roadmap looks like.
How could they?
Nobody teaches this stuff.
And when you don't know what to expect...
It's really easy to draw the wrong conclusions.
To think you're doing something wrong...
When you're actually right on track.
Here's what I want you to remember:
Just because your symptoms came back...
Doesn't mean you failed.
Doesn't mean you're broken.
And doesn't mean you're back at square one.
It just means you're on the journey.
(A messy, non-linear, sometimes frustrating journey... but still a journey forward.)
If you want to understand exactly what this recovery roadmap looks like...
And how to navigate these setbacks without losing your mind...
I just released a recovery blueprint that walks you through the whole process.

It'll help you understand exactly what's happening...
So next time your symptoms spike...
You'll know it's just part of the process.
Not the end of your progress.
