There aren't natural monocrops, monocultures, or mono grass fields with little biodiversity. A lot of grasslands were made by people for animal agriculture. Monocultures harms the environment. I recommend watching the Eating 0ur Way to Extinction documentary on Plant Based News.

Tbh, it’s kinda a bs term. Deserts are based on rainfall, not amount of biodiversity
