It felt so short lol. I hoped you two had lots of fun! Next trip outside of Jakarta? So many other places to visit, around Java itself there are Bandung, Bogor, Yogyakarta, Solo, Semarang... and this is not even touching the eastern part yet! Take care, we'll see you soon!

Looking forward to seeing your next visit to Indonesia at the end of the year.... As Jakarta is probably going to be your port of entry, prior to going to other parts of Indonesia, I suggest that you visit Taman Mini Indonesia Park (a huge theme park on the edge of Jakarta which will give you a preview of all the regions of Indonesia...it may help you plan which parts of Indonesia to explore in the future......ideally you need to allocate a full day to explore this huge park)...you can take the LRT train from Dukuh Atas LRT station (near the HI round about in Central Jakarta) directly to the park.... For your next trip, I suggest that you explore the rest of Java - west and Central Java.....there is still a lot to see and experience in Java....let alone Indonesia. The best way to travel in Java is by Train. Stay safe and healthy!

I'd actually suggest that you go to places other than Jakarta! The capital is cool and all, but there's not really much going on, and you two have already seen most of what it has to offer! I'd suggest you guys try the high speed rail line fron Jakarta to Bandung (Halim station to Padalarang station, then take the feeder train to Bandung train station) and go on a light culinary adventure there! You could look for stuffs like seblak or ayam geprek, or even go up to Lembang for some milk and soft cakes! Maybe even find some of the coveted "Ubi cilembu", a kind of very sweet sweet potato that oozes a honey-like syrup when baked! Plus, Bandung is colder and milder in weather than Jakarta, so that's always a plus!

Please consider to visit the beautiful island of Belitung! It is truly a hidden gem, that idyllic island in the middle of the Indian Ocean (or Indonesian sea). There is a cute resort called Rock and Wreck Dive Resort , I think it is perfect for budget travelers. You can rent a motorcycle to explore the island, and most importantly do the island-hopping trip! I think a 2-3 nights trip at Belitung would be perfect for your next travel š
