I'm a Muslim but this is just madness against humanity. I do hope my brothers and sisters in Christianity to do something about this for the benefit of mankind. If it is true (hopefully not) I believe Jesus himself will go against it!

As a Finnish Orthodox Christian, this is the first I'm hearing of anything like this. I need to look into it. May the Lord protect us from the viles of the enemy.

They can endorse sin all they want. God will never accept a sinner who refuses to repent. The bible is clear on this, St. Paul wrote clearly.

This may be a quirk of Finland. It is largely in the woke Lutheran sphere, so the Orthodox church there probably feels compelled to follow along, rather than with the rest of the Orthodox communion, to stay relevant because perhaps they fear isolation. We should also recall the broader Russo Ukrainian war context, in which Finland is very pro NATO, and thus any conservative Orthodox church there, like in Ukraine, is likely going to be viewed potentially as a fifth column. I am not saying they should change their doctrine, rather I am saying why I think they may be trying to follow along. It doesn't help many conservative Orthodox leaders in NATO countries have vocalized open support for Putin. I also think this is what is going on with the pro LGBT Vatican insiders. Theyre elites, and all European elites go to the same schools and hang out in the same circles, so they feel peer pressure to go along with other liberal EU elites. (This alone disproves the Vatican infiltration conspiracy theory. It is a very understandable and human, and thus flawed tendency, to want to "go along to get along". And the people on their high horse going on about alleged Vatican infiltration, rather than being more sympathetic to the peer pressure they must feel as elites holding out, would do well to recognize that they are very likely equally guilty of compromising their principles to stay relevant in their social circles.)

The madness of the world. Seems like it’s going to cause problems and persecution for the Church.

Pope Francis was in favor of legal rights being protected. Having to conform to Finnish law seems to be the slippery slope. If LGB marriage is legal there, does that mean the church must recognize those unions even if it goes against dogma/doctrine?

Is this overblown, or a step towards something else?
