Happy 80th B-Day to the longest US Thomas narrator from S7-S16 - Michael Brandon (I know he re-narrated six eps of S6, but those are only for TV airings, so they wouldn't count as official airings in terms of media release). Despite what many others say, he is also another part of my childhood and really makes the HiT era more enjoyable, even through its bad episodes (which there still are) he still gives his enthusiasm, including adding ad-libs to the scenes that are not in the script and are improvised by himself, which is a brilliant way to keep the story engaging.
Some of my favorite voices he did are Diesel, Spencer, Ned, Max & Monty, Kelly, Buster, Patrick, Bertie, Duncan, the Fat Controller (which reminded me of the Dispatcher's voice from Theodore Tugboat), Salty, Hector (S11), Thomas, Nelson, Murdoch and Cranky.
However, he does have some pretty mediocre voices, but we can attribute that of the blasted HiT era bible for those reasons which by all means he is not a writer, as it's the voice director also doing so why these came to be.
Still, he did a great job as narrator throughout the show's run.
