The way I would kill to get Staraptor into Close Combat, just... god, it'd be a dream come true. I'd have my two favorite pokemon ever in a fighting game. He could be a stance character where he goes from a grounded stance to an air stance and switches between them using roost. He high profiles lows while he's flying, but cannot block at all in that stance so is super vulnerable

Bird That Clicks Close Combat for sure; I feel Kingambit makes sense as it is and I always felt Haxorus given a second typing might be more appropriate as Dragon/Steel or somesuch. Zangoose is an interesting answer, it would give the Seviper matchup a neat new dimension—especially if Seviper had also received a seconday typing in Dark.

Zangoose needs it the most. But starpator learns way too many fighting type moves to not

Please give zangoose something 🙏 literally anything He looks so cool but his movepool is super dodg

None of them. Zangoose is perfectly fine as a normal type especially with facade shenanigans. Haxorus never felt anything but pure dragon. Staraptor feels fine as normal/flying although it is the closest. Kingambit has no business as anything but steel/dark, not even terra'd as gen 9 OU has shown.

Braviary. Look at the size of those talons and tell me he wouldn't throw them

Choosing staraptor not because I believe it would be very fitting but because of my hateful bias against the normal/flying type

I wish all the regional birds had some slighly different typing to distinguish them a bit. I think they did it right with Talonflame, Kollowatrel, and Corviknight Pidgeot - Normal/Flying Noctowl - Psychic or Ghost/Flying Swellow - Dark/Flying maybe? Raptor - Fighting/Flying Unfezant - Fairy/Flying maybe? Talonflame - Fire/Flying Toucannon - Rock/Flying Corviknight - Steel/Flying Killowattrel - Electric/Flying

Are we taking creative liberties on what's a fighting type for the sake of adding more mons or am I reading too into this?

Dark Steel still fits more for Kingambit Haxorus strikes me more as a Dragon Steel than Dragon Fighting Maybe Staraptor or Zangoose ig, though, I kinda dont see it, admittedly
