Mr. Awesome

Mr. Awesome 2023 in review:

It wasn't necessarily a walk in the park this year as it had been in the years prior. Especially towards the end of the year, I found myself not motivated to make anything or not making videos to the quality that I had imagined them to be. I feel like if I'd been more "in the groove" then we'd be in a much different situation right now than we are. But we weren't, and we are, so let's talk about our year.

December 31st, 2022: 160 total channel subscribers

December 31st, 2023: 323 total channel subscribers

This sees us with a net gain of +163 subscribers in the whole year, or close to a 100% growth throughout the year. Most of these came from shorts.

December 31st, 2022: ~27,000 channel views

December 31st, 2023: ~111,000 channel views

We have a net gain in this category of about 85,000 channel views on the year, giving us a little bit more than 400% than what we had last year. 90% or more of these views came from my YouTube Shorts.

Looking in on the things that we did right, we finally found our groove in the types of videos to make. You guys are a NASCAR Shorts group of people, and that has worked. As a matter of fact, my top short currently has ~11,700 total views, and it's a short I posted this year which regards NASCAR. At one point, on top of our achievements this year, we added the fact that there were thousands of weekly viewers tuning in to watch me, and 90% or more were actually newbies rather than long time viewers. We passed 100,000 channel views, a number which may not be in the place I'd like it to be, but is welcome. Around then, I thought that things couldn't get any better. I think I hit that prediction pretty nicely.

The last two or three months of this channel, however, turned out to be historic epic fails. We basically stopped making streams and videos, and the ones we did make were ridden with mistakes and bad vibes, which prevented us from posting even more. Weekly and monthly viewership tanked. In the last 28 days, we had a yearlong low 2,000 views. We had only 2,000 clicks the whole month. That's abysmal. And it isn't the fault of you guys. I take the blame, as quality, personality, and quantity have all taken a hit and there aren't any major benefits coming from it. I don't really know how I allowed such to happen. However, 2024 is gonna come, so I have a plan to begin a rebuild in my growth.

It's no secret that 2024 needs to be BIG. More responsibilities are coming for me as I add more to my plate, so YouTube needs to make itself worth the time it requires, or I may find that it is not worth it. I told you that I have a planto make sure it is, and I didn't lie. The first part is to research what's popular. I need to know the sounds and trends that bring clicks, because more clicks is more watch hours and subscribers. Secondly, I can't walk aimlessly through 2024 with no goal to guide me to success. We're coming up on our three year anniversary of YouTube, and I know we're not where we should be. I want to achieve an ambitious 1,000 subscribers and 500,000 channel views this year, which sounds outlandish, but it should. I want to make sure I have a goal that I don't run through in March. If such a can be achieved, I may schedule a face reveal or something of the nature to reward my loyal viewers. Finally, we need to take the ruts as they come. This year, when I was down, I just stopped. Now, I need to keep going. Fix any problems that come up in real life and expand the education, but keep some focus on making sure we grow the following to unreal numbers. If I can achieve these things, your 2024 might be one with a little more... Me.

FINAL SHORT OF THE YEAR COMES OUT AT 5:00PM EST!

@StewartHaasforlife

And a big accomplishment for me happened in 2023. Hitting 100 subs. And I have like 14,000 views. And it only took me 10 months to do it. So hop 2024 is even better
