Remember how everyone thought the Spence fight would be the pinnacle of testings for both "greats" of their time and division. It turned out to be a lesson in levels and then everyone forgot, too quickly , exactly what Crawford had done there and how ! Of course we then re-evaluate the quality of Spence to then diminish the stature of Crawford. Unless bud has faded out of the view of watching public, this will be more of the same . A one sided schooling .A beat up that'll leave canelo cut up ,battered and bruised .I hope the referee will have the courage to stop it if he has to. Massive love and respect ,Mr Atlas . 🇬

Leary of paying big $$$ for this fight although I’ve been waiting for it a long time. It’s got trilogy written all over it much like Canelo v GGG. For that to happen it’s going to have to be close/ controversial. The business of boxing is always messing up the sport of boxing. What could be better than these two going at it in a fairly judged fight and both doing their very best? If that is the case, who needs more than one fight. My pick is either a draw ( highly likely) or a close, disputed decision possibly in Crawford’s favor because he’s a bit older and undefeated. Then we’re on to part two and finally the trilogy fight that will settle the matter. Enjoy the show. I’ll most likely buy it in the end. I’m weak. So weak. 😂

I think Crawford's inactivity compared to Canelos' may come back to bite him. That plus the weight advantage gotta go Canelo.

Have to go with Bud here. Canelo has too many fights with asterisks attached to it. Too many fights where if you’re honest, the fight was scripted because too many concessions had to be accepted by the other guy( weight clauses, rehydration clauses, guys coming up in weight from lower classes, guys at the end of their careers or in decline ….etc) that gave Alvarez too many advantages. So his resume means nothing to me nearly as people pump it up to be. In some ways I see his career or success as a bit of a charade given on close inspection, the backstory of a lot of his fights in terms of where his opponents stood ability wise at certain points in their careers when they faced him. And I’m not backing away at all from this observation. Crawford has at least three qualities that I feel he shares with the legitimate top tier legendary fighters a) IQ B) Adaptability C ) overwhelming desire to win and the iron clad belief in himself. And yes as Teddy pointed out excellent instincts. You can’t manufacture that. You either have it or you don’t. Crawford has that in abundance. I feel that the puncher in this fight may not be the guy that everyone is talking about here. And Crawfords physicality may suprise those who are only looking at this from a fanboy perspective or a “just on paper “ analysis. Bud is a SHARP puncher with a whiplike impact and fluidity and those are the kinds of punches that after a few rounds can discourage bit by bit the other guy if he’s eating a steady diet of them and finding himself unable to get off with his own offense consistently. And that is how I see Crawfords path to victory. Canelo ALWAYS checks out of a fight mentally against top tier elite fighters when the bout isn’t going according to script. He just dials it in and accepts the outcome because he doesn’t or just plain seems incapable of making any meaningful adjustments. In short he quits, no MAS mentally. And I believe Crawford is going to have him doubting himself in a way that Mayweather and Bivol did but even more so because Crawford has that dog in him like RAY LEONARD. He’s going to want to put a stamp on this I believe. In 8 days we will know what is going to happen.

Bud Crawford, split decision. He will dominate, but the judges will not give him full credit. I still think he wins, anyway. We may see Canelo get old in the ring. He has some city miles on him.
