The stand alone game idea is definitely the most far out there but has the most potential to fit with the current story that you’re going with here. It being its own animated series would also be insanely cool to see.

Well you have one chapter to get people hyped for the actual story. So take your time I guess. I just found this series and it has enough content to get me hyped for it already. And so far I hear you are trying to mkae it even better!

To be honest, a standalone game sounds interesting. While I'm uncertain about the way it will look, due to being used to PA levels, your explanation made me curious. So if you want to make it a standalone game, then you have my (mostly emotional) support.

LOST EVIL COMEBACK POG!! Don’t have any suggestions myself, but I know whatever you end up doing with it will be PEAK!

All I have is I'm glad that despite everything, you, unlike most, stay determined to keep working on this. Thank you for pushing forwards through this.

A standalone game sounds cool, but I wonder. Will all the existing levels get a remake? If it has a FNF playstyle, how will you balance the charts and the story, especially because the player should be able to look at both and not get distracted from the other? Will it be on Github?

That is f***ing cool. I hope you are able to do that as that is a really REALLY good concept ( Edit ) I just remembered that there is a similar concept already in the form of "rift of the necromancer" might interest ;)

Honestly I don't care if you're moving slow or might take a while to upload I'll be here for you and support you by giving supportive comments Like the fact that you shouldn't make more for the people that haven't seen it but you should for the people that love it

make sure that everything you're planning to do isn't out of your reach, so that it doesn't become demotivating. so as long as you have the necessary knowledge to do all the coding, art, etc then I think you can make a great standalone game with lost evil

You can also use games like Geometry Dash as well! You can use up to 6 buttons in that game, believe it or not. Or you could just stick to the one button. 2.2 has alot of capabilities for crazy creations. People have actually remade a Project Arythmea level once in Geometry Dash. Just an idea.

Yeah that sounds pretty good, good luck on coding that 👍 Unrelated question, i'm making my own game and i started suffering from "out of ideas", can i borrow the design concept of the 4 madmen (nipper looney chatterbox and siley), not like personality, story, ect, just the design, hope thats ok (Credit will obviously be given on they are released

Good luck with removing the Three Madmen, Siley and Gunter from every PA collab or any other level with their cameos since they won't longer be PA fan characters /j Aand good luck to all artists with removing their LE fanarts from PA discord server since it's only for PA related stuff /hj Now seriously, this is gonna be a bit long. Solo game sounds very interesting, but I'm curious about a few things: 1) How will it look like? In terms of visuals. If it's going to be "everything is the same as in PA levels, but it's a separate game", what's the point of "moving out" from PA? And something very similar to FNF will unlikely catch people's interest: old players are probably used to bullet hell style and won't appreciate such heavy gameplay changes, while FNF players have their original FNF with a lot of their own custom stories, so they won't give a f about Lost Evil and its lore. 2) How will this game be promoted? PA's popularity certainly hasn't been very high in recent years, but at least being a part of its community guaranteed that someone would notice and support your project. Lost Evil already has the title of one of the most popular custom storylines, which after separation from PA will become invalid, because Lost Evil will be an independent project, not a custom story. LE community will definitely shrink after this. 3) As one person noted, how will the battle scenes be combined with gameplay? Tapping arrows requires more attention than dodging things in PA, bullet hell style seems more pretty and balanced imo. You're free to do anything you want with your project ofc, but honestly I'd like everything to stay as unique and epic PA storyline, not a "Lost Evil FNF mode" Small bit of New Hope in Better Legacy and most old levels still look stunning and I see no reason to shape them into something so different

Hello everyone! I’ve been absent for a long time, and even more so regarding news about Lost Evil. I think it’s time to share the information I have at the moment. When I made a humorous post on April 1st, I never expected it would become a reality. The story hasn’t been canceled, but it’s undergoing a deep overhaul, and unfortunately, progress is moving quite slowly.
Over the years since the initial release of Lost Evil levels, the story in my mind has evolved from a simple good vs. evil narrative into a deeper tale where the focus has shifted heavily toward the characters, their personalities, and their conflicts. The story is still in the process of being reworked, but what I have right now doesn’t align well with the capabilities of Project Arrhythmia (even with the BetterLegacy mod).
Here are the options I’m currently considering for implementing the story:
1. A story made in Project Arrhythmia using the BetterLegacy mod.
2. A multi-episode animated project on YouTube.
3. A standalone game separate from Project Arrhythmia.
I’d prefer to realize the story as a standalone game. This would allow me to create my own level editor tailored to the story’s needs. However, there’s one problem: I’m unsure how the gameplay will work. The issue is that in the new version of the story, the Nanobot (the player character in PA) might not exist due to the narrative’s new direction. Instead, players would control all the main characters of the story. At the moment, I’m considering a gameplay style similar to Friday Night Funkin (for battles). The epicness of the battles should stay the same, if not become even cooler. You and your opponents would move across the screen, performing epic actions. Imagine a battle between Gunter and Arvil, where the fight choreography is even more polished, and you control Gunter by pressing the right buttons to the music.
Overall, I’d love to hear your thoughts and any ideas you might have. Your feedback will be incredibly important to me.
I plan to create a YouTube video in the future where I’ll present the concept of how the game could look, showcasing the first ~10–20 minutes of the story and gameplay. This will be another step toward finalizing the direction of Lost Evil’s development.
In short, I’m eager to hear your input!
