Eternally saved through Christ

After we are saved we should do good works and repent of sins but if someone is repenting of sin to enter heaven they will not enter.

Repenting of sins is works according to the word of God in Jonah 3:10.

Jonah 3:10
10 And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way;

Repenting of sins is works and the word of God is clear man cannot be saved by works.

Ephesians 2:8-9
8 For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves: it is the gift of God:

9 Not of works, lest any man should boast.

If you add repenting of sin to salvation you cancel out grace.

Romans 11:6
6 And if by grace, then is it no more of works: otherwise grace is no more grace. But if it be of works, then it is no more grace: otherwise work is no more work.

There is only one way to enter the kingdom of Heaven and that is to do the will of the Father which is to believe on the Lord Jesus Christ who died for our sins was buried and rose again the third day and believe on Him and work not meaning trust in Him for eternal life and don’t trust in any of your works or obedience.

Matthew 7:21
21 Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven; but he that doeth the will of my Father which is in heaven.

John 6:40
40 And this is the will of him that sent me, that every one which seeth the Son, and believeth on him, may have everlasting life: and I will raise him up at the last day.

1 Corinthians 15:3-4
3 For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;

4 And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:

Romans 4:5
5 But to him that worketh not, but believeth on him that justifieth the ungodly, his faith is counted for righteousness.

Amen 🙏 OSAS by grace alone through faith alone in Christ Jesus who he is and what he's done for us alone there are so many that refuse to believe that salvation cannot be about their performance just like Cain demanded God to accept his offering of his hands the Bible says the fruit thereof that's the good stuff but yet only the blood of the Lamb was found acceptable in his sight the vanity and self-righteousness of people that believe in Works based salvation and claim to be saved by it confounds me praise God that he sent Christ Jesus to pay the price of this sinner I'm so grateful and I'm grateful for you brother for always teaching the true gospel being an example for all of us how we should run the race God bless you my brother in Chris

Hi brother do you know what kind of repentance was Jesus talking about "The men of Nineveh shall rise in judgment with this generation, and shall condemn it: because they repented at the preaching of Jonas; and, behold, a greater than Jonas is here." And how does it compare to Jonah 3:10 where he says God saw their works? Maybe some repented towards faith in the Mesaiah and did the works too?

Good morning, Eric. All the teachers in the Grace Community say that after we are saved, we are to "live by faith." That seems like such a vague, unspecific statement. I know it says that in Gal 3:11, Heb10:38, Rom 1:17 and Hab 2:4, but I still wonder exactly how we are to live by faith?

Hello brother Eric, I have a question. How does one walk in the spirit to have fellowship with God?

John 8:31 “Then said Jesus to those Jews which believed on him, If ye continue in my word, then are ye my disciples indeed;” 32And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. Discipleship is the hard part and its the only thing that will give us the strength we need to turn from sin in our lives after we have believed. Proverb 23:7 For as he thinketh in his heart, so is he:

It would have been a lot clearer and easier to simply say that everytime you address this issue.

Galatians 5:19-21 New International Version 19 The acts of the flesh are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity and debauchery; 20 idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions 21 and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like. I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God.

Matthew 7:13-14 The Narrow and Wide Gates 13 “Enter through the narrow gate. For wide is the gate and broad is the road that leads to destruction, and many enter through it. 14 But small is the gate and narrow the road that leads to life, and only a few find it.

Jesus said repent. Jesus said sin no more. Holy Scripture says Jesus gives eternal life to all who obey Him.

Are you serious. It says that they turned from their wickedness, that's what they did, work is doing something. What about Him saying because they turned from their wickedness He would not destroy them. If, emphasis IF, if my people, who are called by my name, should humble themselves, pray, seek my face AND Turn from your wicked ways, I will then hear from and only hear from Heaven IF, and I will heal your land and forgive your sins. What will happen if you didn't do, even one thing, that this commandment ordains? Your sins will not be forgiven and your land healed. Let me get this right. Are you saying that you can sin, not under the law but under grace and you can sin and grace WILL abound, is that what you are saying? Further more, how can you confess your sin if you are not obligated to turn from your wickedness? Jonah 3:8-10 King James Version 8 But let man and beast be covered with sackcloth, and cry mightily unto God: yea, let them turn every one from his evil way, and from the violence that is in their hands. 9 Who can tell if God will turn and repent, and turn away from his fierce anger, that we perish not? 10 And God saw their works, that they turned from their evil way; and God repented of the evil, that he had said that he would do unto them; and he did it not. 2 Chronicles 7:14 King James Version 14 If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.

1. Warnings, list not exhaustive: Revelation Letters to the churches, one of the clearest examples that apostasy and false teaching are adopted and practiced by believers, resulting in "spitting out." Rev. 2 and 3 Only three examples are mentioned: Thyatira, Sardis, Laodicea!!! Important: These are churches of the Lord Yeshua!!! Heb. 12:14 Pursue peace with everyone and holiness, without which no one will see the Lord. Note: Holiness means the way—the narrow way. Rom. 6:23 For the wages of sin is death (Paul writes to believers!!!) Note: i.e. believers who are warned against persistent (persisting in sin) sin or sin against the Holy Spirit. Obedience: James 2:24 You see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone. Explanation: Works result from sanctification and gifts (spiritual gifts) not from "I must do something now" in order to be saved, so the goal is sanctification, recognition, sanctification, action. Matthew 7:21 Not everyone who says to me, 'Lord, Lord,' will enter the kingdom of heaven, but only those who do the will of my Father in heaven. Explanation: Here is another message to believers who like to convert and immediately join in, with the background that it is about sanctification and the will of the Father. 2. Distortions - False teachings: Rom. 8:1 There is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus. (false teaching - everything is fine) Be careful to read the context: "who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to his Spirit." John 10:28 - no one will snatch them out of my hand - (false teaching - everything is fine) Be careful - read the context: Verse 27 My sheep hear my voice, so if you are no longer a sheep because of sin, you can no longer hear his voice. 3. True discipleship: 1 Peter 1:15-16 As he who called you is holy, you also be holy in all your conduct and we know at the same time that we will not live sin-free lives, so growth, recognition, reverence, repentance, and penance also apply to believers.
