I also installed steam for TF2, but I discovered my old laptop doesn't have enough hard disk space for tf2... even if I uninstalled everything else, it was one of my first installs on my new pc this year

Funny thing is, that's almost the same reason why I got Steam in the first place as well! Prior I had no idea of it's existance.. I bought Goat Simulator on a CD but it was literally just a key for the game on Steam. And once my brain started to see the possibilities I remembered that silly Scout face and thought to myself... Why not give it a try? I hate shooters but.. it seems jolly! And I fell in love, joining around pre-Jungle Inferno and then got heartbroken once it began to be infested with bots.. I do miss the Cleaver and Sandmann Combo now that I think about it... sigh

My Merc badge is dated March 4, 2012. So many good memories made, so sad to see it fallen so far even if I haven't played it a whole lot within the past five years. Actually, it's part of why I haven't played a whole lot these past five years, though not the only reason. I discovered Steam originally by getting a key for some RTS war game that flopped, spent maybe two hours on it, got bored, found TF2, played that instead. Minecraft hadn't even hit its Beta stride yet, and was still super interesting next to the slop Microsoft spoon feeds us now. TF2 hit a spot nothing else does, even to this day nothing quite scratches the same itch.
