@MaCabaret

The hype for this movie was everywhere. Walmart had an entire aisle dedicated to RotS toys. There were advertisements for when the first TRAILER was going to debut on tv. Kids who grew up with YouTube just can’t appreciate how big of a deal that was. My friend recorded it on vhs and brought it in to show in jr high drama club. It wasn’t just a big movie release, it was a historical movie event that will probably never be matched.

The lightsaber spoons are a core memory, I had Count Dooku's. Plus the BurgerKing toys were awesome! Boba Fett that shot water out of his gauntlet?? Coolest kids meal toy ever.

I remember the excitement and sadness of this film being the end of "Star Wars". The final episode of the Prequel Trilogy and of the real "Star Wars" of George Lucas. Some weeks or months before the premiere, I remember getting a 3D sticker or something from a bag of maybe Lays, of General Grievous's ship, "The Invisible Hand". And I remember watching this in cinema with my father. During the Order 66 scenes in the Jedi Temple, he wanted to cover my eyes, as he didn't know how brutal it's going to be. And I certainly remember the music. Without question, the best film soundtrack ever created. Just returned from my theater couple hours ago seeing the re-release. Man, the 20 years gap. My life is better because of this flawed, but great film.

Loved this movie as a kid. I recall playing the rots video game, reading the novelization later and seeing all the awesome Lego sets associated w the film!

I remember my dad showing me the trailers on the family computer back in 2004-2005, but I officially saw Episode III when it came out on DVD in November 2005. Additionally, the Star Wars Trilogy DVD box set had a special Episode III featurette on the Bonus Disc, about Hayden Christensen and the Darth Vader suit. But I distinctly remember Dad shielding my eyes during the Anakin burning scene. I understand why now, seeing a guy getting completely immolated was some pretty hardcore shit for a 6 year old to see.

Never forget walking into ToysRUs and seeing that huge set up of nothing but ROtS stuff and the giant Vader helmet that oversaw it. They don’t do it like that anymore. And the Burger King promotions. I remember they had these reversible watched for each movie, got the whole set back then.

I remember my parents getting me a Darth Vader Voice Changer. It was a great costume accessory to wear when I dressed up as Darth Vader on Halloween. Fun times.

I'm from Italy and I remember there was a series of collectible Star Wars character figurines that were releasing weekly in newspaper shops in the months prior to the release of the movie. I remember that in the "preview" pages for the upcoming figurines there was a picture of this really cool robot-like dude I had never seen before, with a mask that looked like a skull, and I could not wait to know more about him. I had not watched the Clone Wars microseries because it was behind paid tv channels that I did not have access to, so that was my first exposure to General Grievous and it wound up being one of my favorite characters!

I was 15 years old, went opening weekend, was surprised just how dark the movie was at the time. But I'll never not laugh when R2 comes flying out of a doorway and smacks the wall inside Grievous' ship. Republic Commando, Battlefront 2, and RotS The Game are still some of my most cherished memories of that time period. Playing the Heroes vs Villains game mode with friends was just such a treat.

This was the first Star Wars movie I saw in cinemas at the ripe age of 6, after school on a Friday afternoon 👌 I remember the packaging for the action figures with the iconic fire/lava design 🔥 I also got the Darth Vader voice changing helmet for Xmas which was iconic! This was one of the last films to get a VHS release, at least here in New Zealand, so I had it on VHS before getting the DVD a couple years late

So many memories, me and my friends would get toy lightsabers and duel with each other, I went to school as Anakin (during order 66), I played the hell out of the game, we watched scenes they released as teasers on repeat and also the merchandise for this film was everywhere if you type in Star Wars Toy R Us then you’ll see how Revenge Of The Sith dominated that shop and it’s exactly how I pictured it back then. After the movie released Star Wars hype was never the same it was a magical experience that Star Wars never recaptured to this day.

I was 8 when this movie came out and I remember my dad taking me to see it and towards the end, every time they switched to Anakin vs Obi Wan I told him I couldn't take it anymore and will close my eyes until they switched back to the Yoda Palpatine fight.

I will never forget walking to my local ToysR'Us and seeing the huge banner with the ROTS merchandise. I remember getting an Anakin figure that day. It still sticks with me to this day

One weird thing I remember is before the movie came out my uncle told me that General Grievous was Darth Maul with a bunch of cybernetics to keep him alive.

Dude! I was 6 when RotS came out, and it absolutely ruled the school for a few years after the conclusion of the saga. Right after seeing the movie in theaters, I was surprised with toys of Anakin and Obi-Wan from my mom and I still have them on my desk. You press their legs together and they swing their lightsabers. I remember back in March that year, my oldest brother got me the sneak peek Vader figure. I got the games for Christmas and absolutely loved them, with GBA port being my preferred game (I believe the same team made TMNT 2007 on GBA and that was a great game, and they went on to do Shredder’s Revenge) I remember seeing Attack of the Clones in theaters at 3, but Sith at 6 was a marketing-hype and movie-going experience I’ll never forget. Can’t wait to see it in theaters 20 years later this weekend!

Comercials everywhere on tv, I remember the toy aisles front to back were star wars at my local toysrus, target, and kohls. I had never seen a star wars movie before as a kid for the longest time all I knew was episode 3. The 2 pieces of merchandise that stuck to my memory to this day are Anakins Jedi Starfighter and the lego Mustafar duel with light up sabers. From burger king to the cereal aisle and the chip bags Revenge of the sith was and is my favorite movie of all time.

I remember watching it at my friend's house a month or so before the movie actually came out. His dad was deployed overseas and he somehow got ahold of a critics copy of the movie and mailed it home for his son to watch. I'll never forget sitting in his bedroom and watching it on that silver Sylvania TV with the built in VHS and DVD player. 10/10 experience

Growing up in a small farm town like I did, you were a dork if you liked Star Wars. I was 10 when ROTS came out. I dressed up as a jedi along with alot of other "dorks" in town. I was let into the movie for free for dressing up, and was asked to join everyone else who was in Jedi regalia of all ages to come to the front of the theater and say "May the Force Be With You" right before the drums of the 20th century fox opening. The theatre shook with thunderous applause. I then watched the movie from the only balcony seats with my mom.
