How confident are you in the police to treat all people equally?

This is a hard one because we are only fed the negative side but at the same time no one is perfect and should ever be 100% trusted in a position like that. This is why we have cameras and a court system to help out in the end. I just can't believe how many bad (not good at their job) cops there really out there...

I believe that individual police officers could but not that the police system does.. There’s so much corruption in law enforcement that even supposed “good cops” will become complicit to it.

Not at all confident

We're all just human after all. I think they do pretty good. Never going to get perfection. ❤❤

Act equal and you get treated equal. Act like a thug , and you get treated like a thug. Simple logic

Much more than before because of body cams

They need more education on how to have positive interactions with people with disabilities and Autistic people. I do have an immense respect for all the good cops. (I don’t include positive cops that see other cops do unfair/illegal/immoral things as “good cops” because they are complicit in that harm by not reporting )

Given the presence of racist and corrupt cops, it's hard to feel confident in their decisions. I genuinely have my doubts, so I feel like "not very confident" is the best choice here.

It’s called progression, we as a country are not that old and neither is the stupidity from the 40s 50s and 60s but its slowly being taken out by time, like everything it takes time for positive changes to take place, I would say this country has come a long way in my 50 years of living, I say i confident it is some what better than it used to be.

I agree with someone who said that we are only fed the negative side, especially because I already had a few encounters with police and only two of them were negative. One of them issued a penalty for for my father, because I, supposedly, weren't tall enough to be in the front seat (I was), and the other one when a cop made me late to my school test because he thought my mother was driving a stolen car (The car was used 7 years ago for stealing, before my parents even bought it and, for some reason, their system wasn't still updated). Though, those weren't related to police abuse or violence, they're humans and also prone to make mistakes, not to mention that the rest of my experiences were met with super kind and understanding officers, but you can never be sure. You don't know who you're dealing with and, whether you like it or not, they have a gun and can use it on you at any time.

Watch some of these body cam videos, I totally love/hate some of the cops. They show so much more patience than i could, I actually would be on their side if they snapped here and there 😊 but they don't, I would not able to deal with idiots the way they do. God bless them and the path and they chose

These days, unfortunately it seems to depend on where you are. As a Canadian, I'm very confident of being treated fairly and equally.

You can't treat everyone equal. Some people are just Aholes.

The ones voting not really or below, prove it then.

You will be treated as well as you treat the cops simple

No one can treat everyone equally. People who don't fight police and are civil will be treated better than people who resist arrest. People who don't flee will be treated better than people who flle and put numerous people in danger. People who don't get out of cars shooting at cops won't be shot at, unlike people who do shoot at cops. The idea that cops should treat everyone equally is just plain stupid.

I'm not going to say that all McDonald's workers are lazy and rude simply because of the stereotype, even though there may be many examples to support that claim. You still need to evaluate each case individually apart from the systemic aspect.

Police are human. They will not treat all equal for humans do not do that naturally
