I was born in 81 but Dennis the menace was huge in the 80s. Cartoons, video games and movies and they showed these Jay North reruns on tv.

I grew up on the '93 movie with Mason Gamble and Walter Matthau. Still love it to this day. But it lead me to watching re-runs of the original show on TV Land. Fantastic show. Used to watch it with my dad. RIP Jay North and Walter Matthau. Their work will live on.

I watched the show last year, but remember having the comics and little books of him as a kid in the 70s. He was also in the funny comics in the newspapers, I didn't have the cowlick, but had the overalls.

I never watched that series until a couple of years ago, but I did grew up watching the cartoons from 1980’s starring Phil Hartman. Rest in peace to both of them.

I’m so sad! 🥲 It’s so unfortunate that he went through such hell during his tenure as “Dennis”, at the hands of his Aunt & Uncle…instead of praising him for doing a good job, his Aunt chose to beat him all the time! 🥵 In rare interviews, he refers to that time as the worst time of his life! 🤬🤬 I pray and hope that he can finally rest in peace…but sadly, gone too soon and had so much more to give! 🙏
