This response is very vague. It tells us that the General either does not have the right information or is being asked to keep quiet about it because it might expose the current government in some way

Why would we want "normalcy"? The norm is war, competition, greedy for power and money. Not cooperation, kindness, wisdom, and taking care of what is truly important to humans: clean water and air and food, beauty, creativity, and joy in true work that feeds the heart and soul.

This is the reason why even a broken country like Pak has no hesitation in hitting us with impunity - because we are a little too "mature" for our own good. Retaliation is considered as rash and immature. Maturity means you set up 100 panels, discuss points & counter points & analyze it to death, take a break & again resume. After a while there will be another incident that will demand your mature intervention, so this matter will be parked aside to be resumed later. IF THERE IS NO HARD RESPONSE, INDIA THEN IS IN THE HANDS OF WEAK PEOPLE. The law of nature is that the weak are always preyed upon by the strong. Let our mature leaders in their infinite wisdom, not forget this truth.

The Indian Express
"We had been seeing some indication that #Pakistan was stepping up its attempt to increase terrorist activities in J&K.
We also got a sense that people who were coming in were much better trained. They were all mostly foreign terrorists.
Traditionally, you haven’t seen #tourists getting attacked because it’s something that really hits the local economy."
Lieutenant General DS Hooda (Retd) on how the Pahalgam terror attack is a deliberate provocation, the need to expand the metrics of normalcy in J&K, and the situation at the LAC.
